Coker Set For Four Game Road Swing
Cobras travel to Barton in midweek followed by Anderson in four game road swing.
HARTSVILLE, SC. - Following its ranked series win over Carson-Newman, Coker is set to play four road games this week. The Cobras will travel to Barton Tuesday evening, followed by a SAC matchup with in state foe Anderson over the weekend.

LAST TIME OUT:
- Coker dropped their midweek game with UNC Pembroke in a pitchers duel 1-0. The Cobras threatened multiple times, but it was the Braves pitching staff keeping the Cobras off the board.
- On Friday nights opening weekend game with Carson-Newman, Coker showed the team they are. They spotted the Eagles 5 runs early, but fought the remainder of the night to bring the game within a run heading into the 9th inning. The Cobras then plated two, with Hunter Poole delivering a walk off to propel the Cobras over the Eagles in the first game 7-6.
- Game two saw deja vu for Coker. The Cobras found themselves tied in the ninth inning, with the chacne at their second walk off in as many days. Once again, Hunter Poole delivered, this time with a bases loaded walk to give Coker the series win over nationally ranked Carson-Newman. Cooper Thomas was lights out for the Cobras in relief, pitching 2.1 innings, striking out 3 to help Coker secure the series victory.
- Carson-Newman showed why they were ranked in game three, salvaging one win out of the series with Coker 5-1. Coker plate its one run in the third inning, but it was Carson-Newmans star freshman pitcher keeping the Cobras off the board.
