Kabo Named South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year with First Team All-Conference Honors, Baronella-O'Toole-O'Toole Tabbed All-Conference Honorable Mention

FULL SOUTH ATLANTIC CONFERENCE CAROLINAS RELEASE

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Coker University field hockey players Britt Kabo and Alyssa Baronella-O'Toole received All-Conference honors in South Atlantic Conference Carolinas, announced by the league today (Wednesday, Nov. 6). Kabo was selected as the league's Freshman of the Year and to the All-Conference First Team, while Baronella-O'Toole was selected to the All-Conference Honorable Mention team.  

Kabo shared the team lead in goals with eight, while also leading the team in assists (12) and points (28). Her three game-winners also lead the team. She finished the year tied for seventh in South Atlantic Conference Carolinas in goals, leading the conference in assists and also in third in the conference in points. She also finished tied for fourth in game-winning goals. Kabo is also second in all of Division II in assists per game at 0.80 per game, and was also named the conference statistical champion in that category. 

This is Kabo's first career Freshman of the Year honor, as well as her first career All-Conference honor. 

The Maarssen, Netherlands native is the daughter of Kris and Natacha Kabo, and is a business administration major. 

Baronella-O'Toole finished the season tied for fourth on the team in goals (six), while also being tied for fifth in assists (two) and fifth in points (14). Her two game-winning goals were also second on the team. She was tied for 14^th individually in the conference in goals, while being tied for 19^th in the conference in points. Her two-game winning goals were tied for sixth individually in the conference. 

This is her second career All-Conference honor, as she was named to the All-Conference honorable mention team a season ago as a junior. 

The Severn, Md. native is the daughter of Gary and Amy O'Toole, and is an elementary education major.
