Duke's Goal Lifts Coker to OT Thriller
Jackson Duke took a feed from fellow senior Ryan Forehand and buried a shot into the lower right corner of the net for the game-winner, keeping the Cobras’ hopes alive for the sixth and final postseason spot in the SAC Tournament.
MARS HILL, N.C. – Senior midfielder Jackson Duke netted his lone goal of the game with just over two minutes remaining in the second overtime to lift the Coker University men's lacrosse team to a 14-13 victory over Mars Hill on Saturday afternoon in a South Atlantic Conference contest at Meares Stadium.
Duke took a feed from fellow senior Ryan Forehand and buried a shot into the lower right corner of the net for the game-winner, keeping the Cobras' hopes alive for the sixth and final postseason spot in the SAC Tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Coker fell behind 3-1 after the opening quarter, but rallied in the second period as Elijah Utz, Ryan Forehand, Cooper Wert and Zyaire Marshall each found the back of the net to trim the deficit to 6-5 at halftime against Mars Hill.
Mars Hill pushed its lead back to two goals entering the fourth quarter before the Cobras mounted another comeback. Wert scored with just over three minutes remaining in regulation to tie the game at 12-12, but Mars Hill answered with 1:47 left to regain the lead. Kaleb Hiltz then netted his second goal of the game in the closing seconds to even the score once again and force overtime.
After a scoreless first overtime period, Jackson Duke delivered the game-winner with 2:04 remaining in the second extra session, finishing a pass from Forehand for the golden goal.
