Decaluwe Named SAC AstroTurf Men's Tennis Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Coker University sophomore Thibaut Decaluwe was named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Tennis Player of the Week, announced by the league today (Feb. 7).
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Coker University sophomore Thibaut Decaluwe was named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Tennis Player of the Week, announced by the league today (Feb. 7).
Decaluwe went 2-1 in No. 1 doubles and 2-1 in No. 3 singles during the Florence College Tennis Invitational this past weekend (Feb. 5-6). In the first match on Saturday against Barton College, Decaluwe defeated Hannes Tylehed 6-2, 7-6 in singles and teamed up with Samuel Winter for a 7-5 win in doubles. Decaluwe and Winter teamed up again for a win over Newberry in No. 1 doubles 6-3. In the final match of the tournament, Decaluwe defeated Francis Marion's Leonel Gonzalez 7-5, 6-0.
This is Decaluwe's second career Player of the Week honor.
The Keerbergen, Belgium native is the son of Ward Decaluwe and Carine Swiggers, and is a business administration major.
