Coker Topples the Trojans 4-2
Hartsville, S.C. - Coker continued conference play today as they welcomed the Anderson University Trojans to the Coker Tennis Courts. Despite losing the doubles point, the Cobras came back from 2-0 down to 4-2 with Andy Huynh clinching the match for the Cobras.
Performances:
- Doubles
- Marko Pozonec and Edoardo Pilia got the only win for the Cobras at 3 doubles, winning 6-4.
- Singles:
- Edoardo Pilia got the first point for the Cobras today in his return to the 3rd singles spot, winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-3 to make the match score 2-1.
- Sharif Vossen made his return to the court today, featuring in 6 singles. Vossen had a dominant performance on the day, winning 6-4, 6-0 to tie up the match at 2-2.
- Marko Pozonec got back to winning ways against the Trojans, winning in a 3-set match, going 6-2, 4-6, 6-1, giving the Cobras their first lead of the day, 3-2.
- Andy Huynh once again clinched the match for the Cobras in a long 2 set match. Huynh took set one in a tie breaker, winning 7-6 (7-4). The second set was not as close, with Huynh running away in the match to win it for the Cobras 4-2.
