Pilia Named SAC Player Of The Week
Pilia Went a Perfect 4-0 at 2nd Singles and Doubles against Newberry College and Emory & Henry University
Rock Hill, S.C.: It was announced this afternoon that Coker's very own Edoardo Pilia was named the South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week for the final regular season matchweek.
In doubles play, Pilia and his partner Marko Pozonec only dropped 3 games between the two matches, taking down Sohei Kamiyama and Noel Bartz of Newberry (6-1) and Tristan Hicks and Nathan Spurling of Emory & Henry (6-2).
Pilia was moved to the second singles this week by head coach Derek Roehner and thrived in his new position. On the road at Newberry, Pilia clinched the match for the Cobras, winning 6-3, followed up with a 6-0 performance. Moving into the weekend, Pilia kept up his dominance at 2nd singles, winning 6-0, 6-2.

The Cobras will be taking on the #3 seed Lincoln Memorial University next at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C., for the quarter-finals of the South Atlantic Conference Championships.
