The Cobras take 13th at the Davidson Relays
With Coker scoring 10 points in this week's meet, the Cobras take 13th place.
Davidson, NC: The Cobras returned to Hartsville with a 13th-place finish at the Davidson Relays. The Relay team shined this weekend, making up 7 of the Cobras' 10 points with a 5th and 6th place finish.
TOP PERFORMERS:
Relay Team: 4X400 6th place, 4X100 5th place.
Tyriq Gause: 9th place in the Triple Jump with a final distance of 13.19m.
Daniel Burton: 7th place in High Jump with a height of 1.88m.
Kamari Hudson: 8th place in the 100m with a final time of 10.7s.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Kamari Hudson got the Cobras started as he took part in the 100m. Hudson took 8th place overall with a final time of 10.7 seconds, bringing home 1 point for the team total.
- Next on the blocks was Braeden Rasco. Rasco took part in the 200m event, finishing 57th with a final time of 24.89s.
- In the men's 400m event, Jeffrey Stiles and Soloman Brendan competed for the Cobras. Stiles crossed the line first as he took 14th place with a final time of 49.84 (PR). Brendan finished with a final time of 52.7s and in 35th place.
- Xavier Ratliff was next up in the 400m hurdles. Ratliff took 16th place with a final time of 59.86s.
- Phillip Davis and Cody Stewart competed in the 800m. Davis took 30th with a final time of 2:04.00. Stewart finished in 42nd place with a final time of 2:10.55.
- The Cobras sent out Daniel Burton and Michael Wilson to compete in the High Jump event. Burton took 7th overall, earning the Cobra's 2 points after a final jump of 1.88m. Wilson took 12th as he jumped a final height of 1.78m.
- Tyriq Gause and Braeden Rascao competed in the Long Jump event. Gause took 19th place with a season-best jump of 6.33m. Rasco took 33rd after a personal best jump of 5.42m.
- Jaden Wright was the lone Cobra in the shot put. Wright took 32nd place with a final throw of 7.87m.
- Tyriq Gause took part in the triple jump event. Gause just missed out of a scoring position after taking 9th place with a personal best distance of 13.19m.
- The Cobras Relay team competed in the 4X400 and the 4X100. The group of Jeffrey Stiles, Kamari Hudson, Xavier Ratliff, and Phillip Davis took 6th in the 4X400, bringing in 3 points for the Cobras, and finished 5th in the 4X10, 0 bringing in 4 points for the Cobras.
- The Cobras finished with 10 points over the competition, finishing in 13th place overall as a team.
