Coker’s Cabral Named National Player of the Month
Coker College men’s volleyball player Artur Cabral was named the Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. National Player of the Month of February.
HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College men's volleyball player Artur Cabral was named the Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. National Player of the Month of February, the website announced today.
This is the fifth award Cabral has received from Off the Block, to go along with All-Independent team, Independent Player of the Year, Fan Choice National Player of the Year and Bryan Ivie Award Watch List.
In the month of February, Cabral amassed 73 kills in the Cobras' six matches, including double-digit kills in six of the seven outings. His best performance came against North Greenville when he recorded 13 kills and seven aces. His 0.59 service aces per set average is fourth in all NCAA Division I-II and has helped guide the Cobras to the top spot in DI-II team service aces per set at 2.39.
The Marceio, Brazil, native is a computer science major and the son of Wladia Bessa and Helio Cabral Jr.
