Coker Women's Basketball and Hartsville Fire Department Paint The Town Red
The Coker women's basketball partook in a 9/11 Day of Service project with the Hartsville Fire Department on Saturday, Sept. 6.
HARTSVILLE, S.C. – On Saturday (Sept. 6) the Coker women's basketball team participated in a 9/11 Day of Service project at the Hartsville Fire Department. In conjunction with the firefighters, the team painted 30 different fire hydrants located on Home Avenue, College Avenue and Fifth Street.
"It is always fulfilling to do projects like these," said senior guard Hailey Yohn. "Just being able to work along side the individuals that risk their life for our well-being everyday is always an honor."
The Cobras will kickoff their season with an exhibition matchup with SEC powerhouse South Carolina on Sunday (Nov. 2).
