VOLLEYBALL EARNS 2025 AVCA TEAM ACADEMIC AWARD
COBRAS SUCCEEDING ON AND OFF THE COURT
Lexington, KY - Your Coker Women's Volleyball team has been named a recipient of the 2025 AVCA Team Academic Award, as announced today by the organization!
The award is reserved for teams, collegiate or high school, that maintain a 3.3 GPA on a 4.0 scale for the entire academic year. This award is given to teams whose hard work, both on and off the court, continues to shine through.
The organization honored 1,450 combined high school and collegiate volleyball teams on both the men's and women's sides, which is a record for the organization. "It is very exciting to see that the record-setting, on-court successes during the 2024-25 season have extended to the classroom," says AVCA CEO Jaime Gordon. "The fact that more programs earned the Team Academic Award than ever before is evidence of how committed our coaches are when it comes to helping their players reach their goals as both students and athletes."
